Senior Associate, Member Insurance & Alliance Program

The American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), founded in 1908, is a professional association of more than 60,000 chemical engineers worldwide. AIChE fosters and disseminates chemical engineering knowledge, supports the professional and personal growth of its members, and applies the expertise of its members to address societal needs and improve the quality of life.

Position Summary

The Membership & Volunteer Services team is responsible for retention and growth of AIChEís membership. They achieve this through continuous promotion and enhancement of the member value proposition, of which affinity programs and global networking are key components.

The Senior Associate will manage & grow the affinity programs for professional members. They will also be responsible for outreach and administration of related strategic partnerships (ex. MOUs with other professional societies).

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Director of Membership and Volunteer Services, the Senior Associate will:

  • Retain and grow affinity programs, i.e. life insurance, medical, etc.
  • Manage client relations with affinity vendors
  • Maintain and administer strategic partnerships with other chemical engineering professional societies
  • Retain and grow professional services including Dell, UPS, car rentals, etc. offerings for AIChE members
  • Manage relevant member services and benefits to meet AIChE goals
  • Implement innovative programs/services to evolve the membership value proposition
  • Work with Marketing department on communicating member offerings
  • Implement continuous quality and efficiency improvements
  • Responsible for managing annual budget

Software Proficiency

Education & Work Experience Requirements

  • Bachelorís degree required; Business degree preferred
  • 4-7 years of relevant work experience required
  • Prior experience with volunteer organizations - non-profit/professional society experience a plus

Location & Travel

  • The position is remote. The individual is required to reside in the United States
  • Travel is required: up to 15% domestic and international
